Seating Chart Maker is a free browser-based tool that lets you design a seating layout for any occasion: weddings, dinner parties, conferences, classrooms, or any event where you need to assign people to specific seats. Add round or rectangular tables and set the number of seats for each one. The tables appear on an interactive canvas where you can drag them into any arrangement you like. Click a seat on any table to type the name of the guest or student who belongs there. Names appear directly on the seat so the full picture is always visible. When your layout is ready, export it as a PNG image to share with a venue coordinator, print and display at the door, or keep for your records.
How to use it
- Click "Add Table," choose round or rectangular, and set the number of seats.
- Drag the table on the canvas to position it where you want it in the room layout.
- Repeat until all tables in your venue are represented on the canvas.
- Click any individual seat and type the name of the guest or student assigned to it.
- Click "Export PNG" to download the finished seating chart as an image.

What table shapes are available?

Can I move tables after placing them?
Yes. Every table on the canvas is draggable. Click and drag it to any position to fine-tune your room layout.
Is there a limit on the number of tables or guests?
There is no built-in limit. Very large layouts will produce a larger PNG file, but the tool handles them without issue.
Can I remove a guest name from a seat?
Yes. Click the seat again and clear the name field. The seat will go back to showing as empty.
Will my seating chart be saved if I leave the page?
The layout is saved in your browser's local storage, so it should still be there when you come back as long as you use the same browser on the same device.
