Design, customize, and print professional labels in seconds.
What is it?
The Label Maker is a free browser-based tool for designing and printing custom labels for any purpose — address labels, product labels, jar labels, folder tabs, name tags, shipping labels, and more. Choose from standard label sizes (Avery-compatible formats), add text lines, select fonts and colors, include borders and background colors, and arrange multiple labels per sheet. Export a full label sheet as a PNG or print directly from the browser.
How to use it
- Choose a label size from the dropdown (standard Avery-compatible sizes available).
- Type your label text — up to three lines supported.
- Pick a font, font size, and text color.
- Set a background color and optional border style.
- Preview your label live in the canvas panel.
- Click "Print Sheet" to generate a printable page of labels or "Download PNG" for a single label.
Why use this tool
Labels keep homes, offices, and warehouses organized, but designing them usually requires expensive software or ordering pre-printed sheets. Our free label maker gives you full design control in the browser: pick any color, any font, any size, preview in real time, and send directly to your printer. Whether you're labeling spice jars, organizing a classroom, addressing envelopes, or tagging retail products, the tool has you covered — no subscription, no watermarks, no limits.
Frequently asked questions
Are the sizes compatible with Avery label sheets?
Yes. The size presets match the most popular Avery formats (5160, 5163, 5167, 5371) so your labels align correctly on standard sheets.
Can I add a logo or icon to my label?
Yes. Use the image upload button to add a small logo or icon, which is placed on the left or right side of the label.
How many labels per sheet can I print?
This depends on the selected size. For example, Avery 5160 (1 × 2⅝ in) prints 30 labels per sheet arranged in 3 columns and 10 rows.
Can I create different labels on the same sheet?
Yes. Design a label, add it to the sheet queue, then design a different one and add it. Each position on the sheet can hold a unique design.
Does it work with any printer?
Yes. The printed output uses standard browser printing. For best results, ensure your printer is set to 100% scale with no margin scaling.
